ABOUT

WHAT WE DO

With any emerging technology, it’s usually the application, rather than the hardware, that turns out to be the real game changer. That’s why we like to think outside the box.

We’ve been creating results-driven telematics solutions for the insurance, rental, fleet and automotive industries since 2009. From managing risk on behalf of major insurers, to delivering award-winning customer experiences for young motorists, we’ve assembled a multi-disciplinary team of experts that collaborate and blend intelligence, insight and inspiration from design to delivery, on every project.

Part creativity. Part science. Big ideas mixed with big data.

THE PROCESS

DISCOVER

Whether it’s responding to a defined brief, or hothousing a concept to fulfil a new market opportunity, finding the right answers starts with asking the right questions. We’re great listeners, and proficient interpreters too, as real insight can often be drawn from what’s not being said, and from reading between the lines. Total immersion in your business is key to understanding both its objectives and its challenges.

CREATE

Good things don’t usually just happen, they happen by design. Once we’ve comprehensively interrogated and understood the brief, we apply equal levels of rigour to the process of devising a class-leading solution. And because we’re technology and platform agnostic, we develop these solutions without preconditions and preferences. Think of us as architects in telematics.

DELIVER

Nothing is more frustrating than an elegantly conceived solution falling at the final hurdle thanks to poorly managed execution. Getting it right, and right on time, is paramount, so we’ve marshalled a depth of resource that is just as adept at doing as it is at thinking. Meticulous planning and watertight processes ensure that the journey to the end result is as satisfying as the outcome itself.

CARROT INSURANCE

close
info:
In order to fully appreciate and continually improve the way in which telematics technology can minimise risk and reduce accident frequency amongst young drivers, we did the logical thing – we launched our own brokerage, and called it Carrot. With the invaluable support of our underwriting partners at Zurich, Ageas and Markerstudy, Carrot has become one of the most successful and respected young driver insurance providers in the market today. Our approach to motivating positive driver behaviour through reward has driven unprecedented levels of customer engagement and, in close correlation, significantly lower loss ratios for insurers.

AUTOCAR START!

info:
Autocar Start is a revolutionary programme designed to give young drivers a safer start on the UK’s roads. As a founding partner in conjunction with the Mercedes Benz Driving Academy, smart UK and Autocar Magazine, the package includes high quality pre- and post-test driving tuition, a brand new smart car and fully comprehensive insurance, underwritten by our partners at Zurich. Available for an affordable fixed monthly price, this holistic approach to improving young safety has been met with praise from the Department for Transport and has generated a high level of demand.

EUROPCAR

info:
Trak have been protecting both the prestige and light commercial vehicle fleet for Europcar, the UK’s largest daily rental provider, for over 4 years. Through the use of our telematics technology and our proactive 24/7 security monitoring team we have ensured that only vehicles approved to leave have left our shores. Our operational team has also built robust processes to ensure that our technology stays where it adds value, only on current fleet vehicles.

AVIS PRESTIGE

close
info:
As one of the UK’s main suppliers of high value prestige, sports and 4wd rental vehicles with values ranging from £25,000 to £100,000, asset protection and vehicle location is crucial. Trak has helped Avis Prestige to save significant costs and time in tracing overdue or missing vehicles, along with helping to reduce fraudulent accident claims by providing the data through which to verify the circumstances of an accident. The day to day operational running of this multi-location prestige fleet is now heavily reliant on the use of Trak Global’s telematics solutions.

VW TPS

close
info:
TPS, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, use Trak’s Fleet Management solution to help control the cost of operating its fleet of over 500 parts delivery vehicles. Trak has created a suite of bespoke management tools which help ensure that vehicles are only used for authorised journeys and that they are driven carefully. This has not only increased fuel efficiency by around 14% and rescued maintenance costs but has also helped protect its drivers by reducing the number of accidents they’re involved with.
